## Leave and call the gas company or 911 first

- Gas smell near a water heater, gas line, or gas appliance

## Call a plumber now

- Water pouring or spraying that can't be stopped at the fixture valve (close the main shutoff)
- Sewage or dirty water coming up a drain, tub, or toilet (stop using water)
- Water near outlets, the panel, or a ceiling light, or a sagging ceiling
- Leaking water heater tank
- No water anywhere in the house with no utility outage

## Call soon, ideally today

- Only toilet clogged or out of service
- Suspected frozen pipe
- No hot water (no leak)
- Several drains slow or gurgling at once

## Can usually wait for regular hours

- Dripping faucet or running toilet
- One slow sink or tub
