About
About South Carolina Plumbing
South Carolina Plumbing is a statewide referral service that connects South Carolina homeowners, landlords, and property managers with participating independent plumbing professionals. We are not a plumbing contractor.
What we do
We do two things. First, we publish practical plumbing information for South Carolina: what to do in an emergency, what common repairs involve, what plumbers typically charge, how state licensing works, and what's different about each city we cover. Every statistic on the site links to its source.
Second, we provide a phone number. When you call it, your call is routed to a participating independent plumber who serves your area, if one is available.
What we don't do
- We don't employ plumbers, hold a plumbing license, own trucks or equipment, or operate offices.
- We don't diagnose, price, or perform any plumbing work.
- We don't guarantee that a plumber is available in every location, at every hour, or for every type of job.
- We don't verify, license, insure, or supervise participating plumbers. Each one is an independent business responsible for its own work, license, and insurance.
- We don't publish reviews, ratings, or project photos we can't verify. Images on this site are illustrative, not photos of completed jobs.
How referrals work
- You call (843) 459-7066 and describe where the property is and what the problem is.
- Your call is routed to a participating independent plumber who covers your area, when one is available. Availability depends on your ZIP code, the type of job, and how busy plumbers are.
- You deal with that plumber directly. They diagnose the problem, give you a price, and perform any work you agree to, under their own business name, license, and insurance. You're under no obligation to hire them.
Referral and advertising disclosure
South Carolina Plumbing may receive compensation for referrals, from participating plumbers or from the network that routes calls to them. That's how this site is funded. We don't charge callers for the referral, and compensation doesn't change the information we publish.
Before you hire any plumber
Whether you find a plumber through us or anywhere else:
- Check the license. South Carolina requires a license for residential plumbing work over $500, issued by the SC Residential Builders Commission. Commercial plumbing over $5,000 requires a mechanical contractor license. Look up any license for free on the SC LLR license lookup.
- Ask about insurance and get the price in writing before work starts.
- Ask about the service call fee and whether it's credited toward the repair.
- Ask whether the job needs a permit, and who pulls it.
- Get the warranty on parts and labor in writing.
Where we cover
Calls are accepted from anywhere in South Carolina. We publish detailed local pages for: Myrtle Beach, Greenville, Spartanburg, Summerville, Charleston. More cities are being added.
